On October 22, 2019, our students in grade 8 joined a group of over 2,000 students from the Saratoga/Washington county for the third annual #CareerJam!
Our students explored various industries and learned about the education and training requirements needed for local job opportunities. Having younger students attend these events helps them make informed choices about what they’d like to do in life. The goal of the event is to also keep schools in communication with area companies and to build relationships that lead to jobs for students as they head into the workforce. It is our hope that by exposing young students to new and exciting careers, they can begin to find what they are passionate about at a younger age!
The event was organized by Saratoga Economic Development Corp., WSWHE BOCES and the Workforce Investment Board.
